Vice Presidents’ Forum for Research and Community Development opened at Bonga University

 

The rectors of all 50 state universities took part in the summit. The Minister of Education took part as a guest of honor. During the summit, issues of cooperation in the field of agriculture were discussed.

The Minister of State for Higher Education Development, Mr. Kora Tushune, who was present at the opening of the forum, said that research conducted in the country must solve problems, research ethics must be observed and research requirements must be followed.

He also said that universities should establish and strengthen collaborations with each other and with international higher education institutions to be more effective in research and improving society.

The President of Bonga University, Dr. Patros V. Giyorgis, in his welcoming speech stated that Bonga University has been conducting effective activities in the field of research and social welfare.

Dr Salomon Bayda, chief executive officer of research and community development at the Ministry of Education, said the two-day forum will provide advice on technical and higher education research activities. Departments for the implementation of social development, as well as individual universities.

The forum was attended by vice-presidents of public and private universities for research and community development, heads of research and community development of the Ministry of Education, leaders and experts, as well as representatives of universities in Bona Rica.

The forum was organized by the Ministry of Education in collaboration with Bonga University and is expected to reach various mutual agreements on research and social issues.
